Junior Award
Richard Caddel, introducing the 2000 Complete Poems said of Bunting's poetry that it was composed for youths, ‘to the delight of unabashed boys and girls’. Bunting was also a schoolboy poet publishing ‘Keep Troth’ in his school magazine when he was 16. He wrote a prize winning paper on Whitman whilst at school. The junior section of the award is open to anyone who is between the ages of 10 -18 on 31st July 2012 and the rules and conditions are the same as for the main award (see conditions of entry)
Prizes for the Junior Award are to be announced shortly.
We hope that many of you unabashed poets will show yourselves and let us see your work for this year’s competition.
